Vacation Bible School 2006 Harvest International Family Church This year's Vacation Bible School theme was Son Treasure Island where the kids learned about God's love. The week started off with breaking open the palm tree piņata and singing our theme song that was based on 1 Corinthians 13. Throughout the week stories were read about how Jesus love is giving, kind, caring, forgiving, and forever. Craft time allowed the participants creativity to come forth as they made items ranging from island sunglasses, bean bag crabs, dragonfly magnets, and maracas! We decorated our own graham cracker beach towels to eat during snack, along with consuming tropical popcorn. Games were a blast, especially the water balloon relays and coconut bowling. Each child came home with toy and candy treasures, but all learned that God's greatest treasure is love.
We would like to thank all who came and contributed time, effort,
resources, and prayer in all that was done. We are blessed to
have such gracious volunteers who sacrificed time
and vacation days and gave to prosper the children.
All the children who participated were blessed and were shown God's Love through out the experience.
